A Million Dollar Mindset

Most people say, “I’ll believe it when I see it” but I have learned that “I will see it when I believe it”!

I know some people just don’t get the “BE, DO, HAVE” principle. They want to have a million dollars in the bank and then once they do they believe they will feel like a millionaire! Interestingly it just doesn’t work that way. In fact, the whole process needs to be worked in reverse!

It took me a while to get my head around this concept too as all my life’s influences and conditioning had taught me the opposite was true -  “HAVE, DO, BE”

But it actually works like this…you must BE the millionaire first (in your mind, in your actions, in your entire being) long before you actually have the money in your bank account! You need to think it, feel it, act it out so that on a cellular level you are exactly what you think. In other words; whatever you are being, you are creating.

How would a millionaire think? How would they make decisions? In my case I needed to start thinking in terms that I could comprehend; setting smaller goals first that seemed achievable and doable, starting with my first $10K month and gradually building up to my first $100K month. I still have some work to do to achieve that next milestone! But that’s the point. We are all a work in progress and the hardest work we will ever do is the work we do on ourselves, our mindset.

Decide on the being! “BE, DO, HAVE” is very powerful if you understand it all starts with the BEING! So ask yourself … Is your thinking, doing and being in alignment with the results you are wanting to achieve in your life? If not, what can you do to turn things around?

Remember that our best thinking has got us all to where we are right now and for things to change, we have to change :-D

CLIMBING THE MOUNTAIN by Pauline O’Halloran

As I was looking for inspiration to write this blog the following quote just arrived in an email (thank you universe, the Law of Attraction is always working)…

“The person on top of the mountain did not fall there.”

How very true. We all know that if we were to literally climb to the top of a mountain it would take many weeks and months of preparation and training before attempting the climb. As we set out on our journey we would need courage, determination, resilience, strength and our mind and heart firmly set on achieving the goal.

Along the way we would encounter many obstacles; suffering discomfort to the extreme, we might even fall and injure ourselves but we would carry on regardless of the odds and the nagging voices in our heads, those voices telling us we were kidding ourselves, that it was too hard, too hot, too cold, we were not meant to succeed, it was just a dream; but despite all this, our desire to reach the top of the mountain is greater than our fear of failing so we push ourselves harder, push ourselves to our limits and beyond and finally the top of the mountain is in sight.

Our heart is pounding in our chest. We struggle to breathe in the thinning atmosphere, we stumble and fall and get back up again, scrambling to reach the top, our lungs about to burst, and FINALLY…there we are. We did it! We achieved our goal and reached the top of the mountain. Success tastes so sweet (or maybe that’s salty as the sweat runs into the corner of our mouth) and now as we look down grinning from ear to ear, feeling a sense of exhilaration that only comes from achieving something that took supreme effort, super human determination, tenacity, perseverance and vision; we hear the words echo from far below….”it’s alright for them; they have strong legs, they had a good trainer, they could afford the best climbing gear, they’re just lucky. They think they’re so good.” REALLY?!?

Only the person at the top of the mountain will really know their journey. The pain, the sacrifice and most importantly, the joy. I’m still climbing and constantly reminding myself to enjoy the view with each and every step and breath I take.
